Phoenix has an art scene I want to talk about without turning the city into a desert mood board.
Roosevelt Row is a walkable arts district with galleries, restaurants, boutiques and street art, according to Visit Phoenix. [1] There's plenty to discover on one stretch of streets.
I like the thought of moving from a small gallery to lunch and then finding a mural on the way back.
The Arizona collection can take inspiration from heat and colour, but a city's artists deserve to be seen for their own work.
If I were planning an afternoon there, I'd leave space for surprises.
