I'd go to Nice with a small suitcase. The Riviera has enough going on without an elaborate wardrobe plan.
UNESCO describes how Nice developed as a winter resort from the eighteenth century, attracting visitors drawn to the Mediterranean climate and setting. [1] That history sits alongside the sea, the streets and the everyday city.
I'd want time to walk, find lunch and wander without checking the clock every ten minutes.
A light shirt and shoes I know are comfortable would do nicely. A hat, perhaps, if the sun insists.
The best part of a place is often what happens between the famous sights.
